what has been on booker's mind

Booker saw a baby dog like this out of our window this afternoon and exclaimed, "wow, mom, a real pirate dog!"(because of the patch on his eye)... i really don't think anything else goes through his mind.

i cannot believe..

last night i got caught up looking at old pictures, and just could not believe the change that happens right before your own eyes, without realizing it! i saw some of these pictures of bookie and lincoln and cannot believe they are the same little kids!

this looks way more like lincoln to me.

i never remembered him getting so tan with such white hair.
those sweet blue eyes just popping out!
i can barely see booker in there!
this is lincoln less than 24 hours after being born..
this is what they looked like when we moved to columbus!!! oh my goodness, where has time flown?
i don't see lincoln at all in there.
a little more here..
but to see where they are now...i am really amazed! what a silly thing to be amazed over, but when others tell you to enjoy the time when they are young because it flies...I NOW KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!
i feel so lucky to share my time with them everyday! what sweet little boys i have!:)

we had a baby!

On the fourth, we spent our evening with our cousins. After talking about and being excited about our upcoming arrival, Booker and Savvy had gone downstairs to play. They came back up with a little baby doll, in which Savvy told her mom, "Booker and I just had this baby!" Where do kids come from?!

in my next thirty years...

today i hit a big milestone birthday, and it's suprisingly a little refreshing this morning. i remember when i was a lowly 19 year old, flying on airplanes all over the united states playing volleyball and having some horrible experiences with "elderly" people who wouldn't take my opinion as anything because i was so "young". that use to irritate me so badly and i couldn't wait until i was OLD enough :) to have my opinion taken as valid. i think i have hit the "valid" stage! and with my life a little different than 11 years ago when i hit 19, i am no longer flying everywhere, but instead RUNNING everywhere after my perfect little boys with my first sweet girl in my belly and trying to keep things at home running smoothly for my most wonderful husband...and i couldn't think of a more perfect life for myself! each day i feel as if i am doing a work greater than i can even imagine, but as one who hopes to never sit idle, have just a few things i want to do in my next 30 years to change me and hopefully leave a better mark on the world!
*become more patient with others AND myself
*look for more tangible ways to serve others around me
*be more spontaneous!
*be more open about my opinions!!(now that they count!)haha.
*study more about our world and how and why it works
*let my closest always know how much i love them by what i DO and SAY!
*do some sort of "CRAZY" race..
*publish some of my books!..and not just wish..
*not worry about what others think, but remember what is important
*make MORE great friends!
*see the world!
*find ways to improve others around the world..humanitarian service/teaching/etc..
*share the gospel more openly!
*learn more about my ancestors and record stories for my children
*share more of ME with the world!:)
i have such a great life and always have and hope that my next 30 will be just as great as the first 30! here's to my dreams and making them happen!:)

what do you do....

What do you do with 20 minutes and a new set of clippers? How about give some crazy haired boys some haircuts! People didn't believe me when I told them how big Booker's hair was, but now without it, it looks like his head is so teeny!
Even this shot doesn't capture the great length on his hairy side!:)

look at that good looking boy now! you can actually look at and see his eyes without being completely distracted by his crazy hair!:)

Lincoln wasn't impressed with the "in between" haircut he got..

but was quite impressed with his freshly shaved head!
