and so it begins.

we've been waiting for this day for a long time. competition has begun for our little munchkin and it has sure been a learning experience for us! it's been so fun to watch him learn (kind of!) the ideas of teamwork, skills, practice and sportsmanship. i've always been a little afraid that i would be the screaming parent on the sideline (and believe me, there are plenty of them out there..even in 4 year old soccer!)...however, more than anything, i just find so many smiles on my face watching his little body full of determination and energy bouncing from one side of the field to the other. he has made this first season of soccer fun and exciting, if only for his parents!:)

the lineup on the field...
he always wants to be at the ball, regardless of who has it or where it is..and does anything he has to (not always a great thing when it includes pushing and elbows, even to his own teammates..but remember we are still learning!):) to get his foot on that ball!
we are working at getting rid of this face when the other team scores....or kicks the ball..haha (anyone EVER seen this face before!):) he is doing so much better.
and most days he is just happy as a clam to be on the soccer field running his little legs off..this is one of my favorite pictures!
and at the end of it all, as long as he can give me two thumbs up and that giant smile...i know this whole new world of sports will do him so much good in the end!:)
go #2!

he looks so old! what a little stud muffin. it's his "mammy hug" face, and i don't think it will ever completely go away...haha. very cute though!

Oh there is such a special little place in my heart for soccer! He is SO cute in that uniform. I cant believe you would even think about yelling in a game. I would never yell in a game. Especially not a basketball game.
