just when the day has gone perfect...

IT happens.

Booker runs out the door to find his friends, not realizing Lincoln is right behind him and slams the door...

on Lincoln's finger.

The aftermath: (graphic picture coming)

example 1:

example 2:
So at 4:00 in the afternoon, Ben rushes home from work (I was so appreciative of the 30 second commute..especially today)..and takes him to the hospital where they are for the next 5 hours.

After stitches, x-rays, screaming, etc..he came home a much happier child than when he left. (Mostly excited to show me his REAL Batman band-aid and that he got to see his bones)
And ready to feed his newly acquired bear from the nurse, which he appropriately named....wait for it....Teddy Bear.

And just how sweet is Lincoln...in his prayer tonight he said, "thank you for the doctors and that I could get a new bear, a new band-aid, and some new stitches."  Sweet boy!

oh my! That looks like the most painful thing ever. . . for all of you! I bet you felt so bad for him. I sure hope he is feeling better now. It is amazing how much a cool band-aid, like batman, can help.
